Сlomid (сlomiphene) is a prescription medicine that works similarly to estrogen helping female patients diagnosed with infertility and unable to conceive a child. In order to benefit from this medicine you should take it in cycles 5 days each, one time a day with a drink of water. If you ever had or have kidney disease, ovarian cysts, abnormal vaginal bleeding, uterine fibroids of other similar conditions make sure you tell your health care provider in advance as otherwise they can interfere with Clomid making it less efficient. When taking Clomid, especially in several cycles, you are more likely to have multiple births.

When you take Clomid some mild side effects are likely to occur. Since one cycle of treatment lasts for 5 days only the patients are recommended to continue the treatment unless their symptoms become bothersome or worsen. The side effects you may experience are: breast discomfort, upset stomach, abnormal vaginal bleeding, flushing and vomiting. Sometimes women taking this medicine report blurred vision. Do not perform any hazardous activities unless you know that Clomid does not cause blurred vision in you.
