dogs and cats

It is the mission of the Menifee Valley Humane Society to prevent the destruction of domestic animals due to overpopulation, abandonment or orphanage, through two steps:

Intervention and Education.

To succeed in our mission, the following are our goals:

  1. We shall rescue homeless, abandoned, abused and/or orphaned animals, and within reason, we shall provide them with medical care. Whenever possible, after spaying or neutering and micro-chipping, the animals will be adopted to qualifying homes. Feral cats, which reside in a colony with other feral cats shall be trapped, spayed or neutered, and if deemed to be unsuitable for rehabilitation and adoption, shall be returned to the feral colony, where, whenever feasible, food shall be provided for them.

  2. Educating the public to the necessity of spaying or neutering their own pets and providing for their pets' care, if they are no longer able to do so, is an ongoing need that we hope to fulfill by providing speakers to civic organizations, school assemblies and other public meetings.
